How you practice your art is how you live. Cultivating creativity everyday.

Creativity is not knowing where you are going but going anyway.”

What is creativity?

We are all creative in different ways. Cultivating your creativity is how you choose to live a happy, fulfilled life. Let’s explore few thoughts on what creativity is and how it can manifest in your life.

Creativity is a problem solving tool in everyday life.

How you problem solve daily demands creativity. The saying ‘thinking outside the box” means exactly that. Finding creative solutions at work and at home, keeping your mind active when everything else seems to not go your way, all that can be seen as creativity.

Creativity is how you approach relationships.

From curiosity and willingness to learn. The world is not only how you view it. The world is a place where things shift in seconds and opinions are disposable sand in the wind. Having an adaptable, curious and open mind is to practice creativity.

Being creative is to be curious.

Remember how your mom tried to tell you to stay away from trouble. As a creative you actually run toward the trouble. But perhaps just enough to get a glimpse of the other side, just so you learn how the boundaries work, learn how to bend them, how to jump rope straight in the line without your knees getting bruised. Learn how other people live and think*.

*Curiosity did not kill the cat.

Creativity is curating things together in order to create something bigger.

Being a creative is to experience the world in a way that makes you want to express your view to others so they can too, experience the world through your work and through your art. It’s a deep desire to be connected, seen and heard and ultimately to make the world a better place.

Creativity shows in how you view the world and derive inspiration to your work from that.

Next week I want to dive into the topic of:

“Creativity does not need strategy, but strategy needs creative.”

Until then x
