In a world full of voices, some are being heard less. This Young Lions Brief was to explore how we can help keep people with Down Syndrome stay safe from sexual harm. YourOwnVoice is an explorative case study how a technology can be used to support persons independence. We found the insight that people with Down Syndrome rely on self talk to vent feelings and make sense of daily life events, so YourOwnVoice was born.
